Hello,
Great show guys! I love all the content you produce.
In October 2022, I rolled my Roth IRA from one custodian to another. I did so by having the old custodian issue me a check and then I deposited the money into the rollover IRA at the new custodian within the 60 day time frame. I accidently created the rollover IRA as a traditional IRA at the new custodian. So my rollover went from Roth to traditional. The new custodian told me since 60 days has passed and money was already invested there is nothing they can do to re-categorize my IRA to Roth. Is there anything I can do so I don’t have to pay tax on that money again?
