<18 creating business to write off some common expenses

Aloha Mark and Mat. Love listening to your videos. Learning so much from you guys. Could you please make a video for / and to the typical teenager that he/ she could relate to. A video about ways to save on taxes and be able to deduct some of their ordinary expenses that he maight be using in his side hustle . My son works full time (W2) in my husband construction company and also helps out with our side businesses ( Short term vacation rentals and Turo vehicle rentals). The jobs that my kids help is: cleaning the cars, cleaning the rental units, giving me a ride to drop off or pick up vehicles, beautification of the rental property ( pulling weeds :slightly_smiling_face: ) . In my books I would only show that I paid my kids less than $600 ( I thought that they ( less than 18 years old) would have to file taxes if I went over the $600. Should my son sign up for Uber or Uber Lifts to be more formal and take advantages to use Auto deduction on his taxes since he has been working on upgrading his 2004 Jeep Cherokee. Mahalo Ania
